Reassembly [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Make sure that the No. 1 sliding roof shoe sub-assembly is positioned as shown in the illustration.

      *1 No. 1 Sliding Roof Shoe Sub-assembly

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

    2. Engage the plug cap and press the retractor cap down in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the illustration. Then, insert the retractor cap to install the sunshade trim sub-assembly.

      Push Install in this Direction (1)
      Install in this Direction (2) - -
    3. Install the sliding roof sunshade plate LH to the sunshade trim sub-assembly.

      Install Here

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

    4. Install the sunshade trim sub-assembly with sliding roof sunshade plate LH to the slide roof rail sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

    5. Engage the claw.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

    6. Engage the 2 claws to install part (A) as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction - -
    7. Install the sliding roof sunshade guide LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction (1)
      Install in this Direction (2)

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

    8. Engage the 2 guides in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

  2. INSTALL CENTER SLIDING ROOF HOUSING FRAME 
    1. Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, install the center sliding roof housing frame with the 4 "TORX" screws.

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL REAR SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH 
    1. Engage the guide to install the rear sliding roof side garnish LH.
  4. INSTALL REAR SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF HOUSING PAD 
    1. Remove the release paper from a new sliding roof housing pad.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    2. Install the sliding roof housing pad to the sliding roof drive gear assembly as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:
      • Make sure the sliding roof housing pad does not protrude to the connector side.
      • Make sure to firmly press the double-sided tape portion of the sliding roof housing pad to securely attach it.
  6. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the sliding roof drive gear assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 SLIDING ROOF HOUSING PAD 
    1. Remove the release paper from a new No. 2 sliding roof housing pad.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    2. Install the No. 2 sliding roof housing pad to the sliding roof drive gear assembly as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:
      • Make sure the No. 2 sliding roof housing pad does not protrude to the connector side.
      • Make sure to firmly press the double-sided tape portion of the No. 2 sliding roof housing pad to securely attach it.
