Reassembly [07/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    For Normal Roof:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    For Glass Roof:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF WIRE (for Normal Roof) 
    1. Apply butyl tape as shown in the illustration.

      Butyl tape - -
      NOTE:

      Securely attach the butyl tape.

    2. Turn the 2 visor connectors clockwise approximately 90° to install them to the roof headlining assembly.

    3. Align the marking tape on the No. 1 roof wire with the roof headlining assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Marking Tape - -
      Adjustment Area - -
    4. Attach the No. 1 roof wire with the butyl tape.
      NOTE:
      • Securely attach the No. 1 roof wire.
      • If any of the No. 1 roof wire is left loose, it will cause an abnormal noise.
      • Make sure to attach the No. 1 roof wire without leaving any of it loose.

      HINT: 

      Secure the extra length of the No. 1 roof wire in the adjustment area.

    5. Install the No. 1 roof wire to the roof headlining assembly with adhesive tape.

      A 20 mm (0.787 in.) B 80 mm (3.15 in.) or more
      NOTE:
      • Apply the tape securely in place.
      • Do not touch the adhesive surface when applying the tape to prevent adhesion failure.
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF WIRE (for Glass Roof) 
    1. Apply butyl tape as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Securely attach the butyl tape.

    4. Attach the No. 1 roof wire with the butyl tape.
      NOTE:
      • Securely attach the No. 1 roof wire.

  4. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING PAD (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles with Normal Roof) 
    1. Remove the release paper from 2 new roof headlining pads.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    2. Align the 2 roof headlining pads with the markings on the roof headlining assembly and install them as shown in the illustration.

  5. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING END PAD (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles with Normal Roof) 
    1. Remove the release paper from new roof headlining end pad.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    2. Align the roof headlining end pad with the markings on the roof headlining assembly and install it as shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SIDE ROOF HEADLINING PAD (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles) 
    1. Remove the release paper from 2 new front side roof headlining pads.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    2. Align the 2 front side roof headlining pads with the markings on the roof headlining assembly and install them as shown in the illustration.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF SILENCER PAD (for Normal Roof) 
    1. Align 4 No. 1 roof silencer pads with the markings on the roof headlining assembly and install them using hot-melt glue as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Make sure to install the No. 1 roof silencer pad firmly to prevent it from being peeled off when installing the roof headlining assembly.

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 ROOF HEADLINING SUPPORT (for Normal Roof) 
    1. Align a No. 2 roof headlining support with the marking on the roof headlining assembly and install it using hot-melt glue as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Make sure to install the No. 2 roof headlining support firmly to prevent it from being peeled off when installing the roof headlining assembly.

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF HEADLINING SUPPORT (for Normal Roof) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 roof headlining support.

  10. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING PAD LH 
    1. Align a roof headlining pad LH with the marking on the roof headlining assembly and install it using hot-melt glue as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Make sure to install the roof headlining pad LH firmly to prevent it from being peeled off when installing the roof headlining assembly.

  11. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING PAD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL CENTER ROOF HEADLINING PAD 
    1. Remove the release paper from new center roof headlining pad.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    2. Align the center roof headlining pad with the markings on the roof headlining assembly and install it as shown in the illustration.
