HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

REMOVE EXHAUST TAIL PIPE ASSEMBLY

WARNING:

Hot surfaces.
Risk of burning!
- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.

HINT:

If the separation point is not marked by a punch mark in the pipe, determine the separation point by means of the pipe length on the new component.
Transfer the separation point to the faulty component and mark.
Cut through the faulty component at the marked point with a suitable tool.
Deburr the separation point and remove any swarf. There is a risk of remaining metal chips at the joint between the two pipes.
Check the exhaust pipe assembly for tightness after installation.

If the separation point (1) is not marked by a punch mark in the pipe, determine the separation point (1) by means of the pipe length on the new component.

Transfer the separation point (1) to the component to be replaced and mark.

Cut through separation point at the marked point with the special tool 0 496 469 (00 2 220).

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Loosen nuts (1).

Loosen nuts (1).

Unfasten nut (1).

Remove the exhaust tail pipe assembly.
