Installation [03/2019 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL EXHAUST TAIL PIPE ASSEMBLY WARNING:
- Hot surfaces.
Risk of burning!
- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.
HINT:
- If the separation point is not marked by a punch mark in the pipe, determine the separation point by means of the pipe length on the new component.
- Transfer the separation point to the faulty component and mark.
- Cut through the faulty component at the marked point with a suitable tool.
- Deburr the separation point and remove any swarf. There is a risk of remaining metal chips at the joint between the two pipes.
- Check the exhaust system for tightness after installation.
- Position the exhaust tail pipe assembly.
- Replace nut.
- Tighten nut.
Torque: 19 N.m (194 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf)
- Replace nuts.
- Tighten nuts.
Torque: 19 N.m (194 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf)
- Replace nuts.
- Tighten nuts.
Torque: 19 N.m (194 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf)
- Tighten nuts in the area (1) at the rear No. 1 exhaust tail pipe clamps (2).
Torque: 45 N.m (459 kgf/cm, 33 ft.lbf)
- Connect connectors and lock.
- Hot surfaces.
- INSTALL REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTOR LH
