Removal [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PRECAUTION [08/2017 - 08/2019] ).

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER INNER LH 
    1. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the foremost position.
    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the seat track cover.

  4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER LH 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the seat track cover.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch) 
    1. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the foremost position.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the rearmost position.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts.

    5. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the center position.
    6. Operate the leg support adjustment switch to move the seat cushion to the open position.

    7. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - 08/2019] ).

    8. Disconnect the seat wire connectors under the seat.
    9. Remove the front seat.
  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch) 
    1. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the foremost position.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the rearmost position.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts.

    5. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the center position.
    6. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - 08/2019] ).

    7. Disconnect the seat wire connectors under the seat.
    8. Remove the front seat.
