Inspection [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (w/o TAIL Cancel Switch) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 (RV) - 1 (E) Downside → Upside See illustration
      7 (T) - 1 (E) Always 8 to 12 kΩ

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rheostat.

  2. INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (w/ TAIL Cancel Switch) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 (RV) - 1 (E) Downside → Upside See illustration
      5 (TC) - 7 (T) Downside → Upside 10 kΩ or higher → Below 1 Ω
      7 (T) - 1 (E) Always 8 to 12 kΩ

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rheostat.
