- INSPECT POWER BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH
- Check the switch.
*a Component without harness connected
(Power Back Door Control Switch)- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 5 (MSW) - 2 (MSE) Pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω 5 (MSW) - 2 (MSE) Not Pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the power back door control switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Check the switch illumination.
- Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the power back door control switch illuminates.

Auxiliary Battery Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 6 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (ILL-)Illumination illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the power back door control switch.
- Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the power back door control switch illuminates.
- Check the switch.
