DTC B1508-19: Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher Circuit Current Above Threshold [12/2021 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH does not blink. A
      Front turn signal light RH does not blink. B
      Rear turn signal light LH and side turn signal light LH do not blink (w/ Side Turn Signal Light). C
      Rear turn signal light RH and side turn signal light RH do not blink (w/ Side Turn Signal Light). D
      Rear turn signal light LH does not blink. E
      Rear turn signal light RH does not blink. F

  2. CHECK FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 
    1. *1: for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light
    2. *2: for LED Type Turn Signal Light
    1. Disconnect the A60*1 or A98*2 front turn signal light socket connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 

    for Triple Beam Headlight:

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

    for Single Beam Headlight:

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET) 
    1. *1: for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light
    2. *2: for LED Type Turn Signal Light
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A60*1 or A98*2 front turn signal light socket connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-1 (LL) - A60-1 (B)*1 or A98-4 (B)*2 Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 
    1. *1: for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light
    2. *2: for LED Type Turn Signal Light
    1. Disconnect the A59*1 or A96*2 front turn signal light socket connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result:

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 

    for Triple Beam Headlight:

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

    for Single Beam Headlight:

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET) 
    1. *1: for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light
    2. *2: for LED Type Turn Signal Light
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A59*1 or A96*2 front turn signal light socket connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-2 (LR) - A59-1 (B)*1 or A96-4 (B)*2 Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  6. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH 
    1. Disconnect the N18 rear combination light socket and wire LH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - ]

  7. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. *1: w/ Blind Spot Monitor system
    2. *2: w/o Blind Spot Monitor system
    1. Disconnect the J13*1 or J14*2 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

    1. *1: w/ Blind Spot Monitor system

    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the J13*1 or J14*2 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the N18 rear combination light socket and wire LH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-5 (TRNL) or N18-4 (TRN) or J13-1 (B)*1 J14-10 (B)*2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  9. CHECK SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the A side turn signal light assembly LH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

  10. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE RH 
    1. Disconnect the M14 rear combination light socket and wire RH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - ]

  11. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. *1: w/ Blind Spot Monitor system
    2. *2: w/o Blind Spot Monitor system
    1. Disconnect the I13*1 or I14*2 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

    1. *1: w/ Blind Spot Monitor system

    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the I13*1 or I14*2 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the M14 rear combination light socket and wire RH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-6 (TRNR) or M14-4 (TRN) or I13-1 (B)*1 I14-10 (B)*2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022] 

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  13. CHECK SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the A side turn signal light assembly RH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

  14. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH 
    1. Disconnect the N18 rear combination light socket and wire LH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result:

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - ]

    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the N18 rear combination light socket and wire LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-5 (TRNL) or N18-4 (TRN) or N18-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  16. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE RH 
    1. Disconnect the M14 rear combination light socket and wire RH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to

      DTC B1507-18 is output. B
