Removal [06/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
    • After turning the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [06/2020 - 10/2022]

    • When replacing the auxiliary battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 55 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.
    • After replacing the auxiliary battery, install the ventilation hole plug supplied with the new auxiliary battery or the ventilation hole plug from the old auxiliary battery to the ventilation hole on the side to which the battery hose is not connected.
  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the deck board assembly.

  3. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER

    1. Detach the 13 claws and remove the battery hole cover.
  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    2. Set the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to the deck trim side panel assembly RH.

  5. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY 
    1. Open the connector cover.

    2. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.

    3. Disconnect the battery hose from the auxiliary battery.

    4. Remove the bolt, nut and battery clamp sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    5. Remove the auxiliary battery.
