DTC B00D5-12: Restraint System Passenger Disable Indicator Circuit Short to Battery [06/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly and telltale light assembly.

- CHECK CONNECTORS
- Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
*1 Telltale Light Assembly *2 Airbag ECU Assembly *3 Wire Harness - Disconnect the telltale light assembly connector.
- Check that the connectors (on the airbag ECU assembly side and telltale light assembly (passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator) side) are not damaged.

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

(to Airbag ECU Assembly) - Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage

- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- CHECK PASSENGER AIRBAG ON/OFF INDICATOR
- Connect the G31 telltale light assembly (passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator) connector.

(to Airbag ECU Assembly) - Using a service wire, connect terminal 35 (PAON) of connector B and body ground.NOTE:
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Check the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator operation.
OK
The passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator "ON" does not come on.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Disconnect the service wire from connector B.

Proceed to OK NG

REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

REPLACE TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - ]
- Connect the G31 telltale light assembly (passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator) connector.
