Removal [06/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [06/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [06/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [10/2022 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42 [06/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42 [10/2022 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [06/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2022 - ]

  5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER HEAT INSULATOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [06/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [10/2022 - ]

  6. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 
    WARNING:
    • To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. for Sensor 1:
      1. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

      2. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
      3. Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold.
        • SST: 09224-00012

        NOTE:

        If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    2. for Sensor 2:
      1. Detach the wire harness clamps.

      2. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
      3. Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

        NOTE:

        If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
