Removal [11/2018 - 02/2019]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  2. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
  3. REMOVE MAIN MUFFLER HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 4 nuts and main muffler heat insulator from the vehicle body.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  8. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH (for Gasoline Model) 

    w/ Floor Under Cover:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  9. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH (for Gasoline Model) 

    w/ Floor Under Cover:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 FLOOR UNDER COVER (for Gasoline Model) 

    w/ Floor Under Cover:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER (for Gasoline Model) 

    w/ Floor Under Cover:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  12. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 CONTROL ARM COVER LH (w/ Cover) 

    See step  2

  13. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 CONTROL ARM COVER RH (w/ Cover) 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Loosen the nut (A) of the rear stabilizer link assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench to hold the stud bolt.

    2. Loosen the bolt of the rear stabilizer link assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

    3. Using a jack and wooden block, support the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.
      NOTE:
      • When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.
      • Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.

    4. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and rear stabilizer link assembly LH.

  15. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BAR 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts, rear stabilizer bar, rear No. 1 stabilizer bar bracket LH, rear No. 1 stabilizer bar bracket RH, rear No. 2 stabilizer bar bracket LH, rear No. 2 stabilizer bar bracket RH and 2 rear stabilizer bushings from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE REAR LOWER STABILIZER BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 rear lower stabilizer brackets from the rear stabilizer bushing.

  18. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BRACKET LH 
    1. Remove the rear No. 1 stabilizer bar bracket LH from the rear stabilizer bushing.

  19. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BRACKET RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  20. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BUSHING 
    1. Remove the 2 rear stabilizer bushings from the rear stabilizer bar.
