NOTE:

Because this DTC is related to a temporary loss of steering sensor zero point calibration, before proceeding with the inspection, it is useful to confirm whether the power source voltage was interrupted by an operation such as removal or disconnection of the battery.

HINT:

When DTC U0074-88 and/or U0126-87 is output together with DTC C0526-46, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by DTC U0074-88 and/or U0126-87 first.

If a speed sensor, yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is malfunctioning, the steering sensor may also appear to be malfunctioning even when normal.
If DTCs related to a speed sensor, yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs before inspecting the steering sensor.
