DTC B1507-18: Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Below Threshold [12/2021 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH does not blink. A
      Front turn signal light RH does not blink. B
      Side turn signal light LH does not blink (w/ Side Turn Signal Light). C
      Side turn signal light RH does not blink (w/ Side Turn Signal Light). D
      Rear turn signal light LH and side turn signal light LH do not blink (w/ Side Turn Signal Light). E
      Rear turn signal light RH and side turn signal light RH do not blink (w/ Side Turn Signal Light). F
      Rear turn signal light LH does not blink. G
      Rear turn signal light RH does not blink. H

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET) 
    1. *1: for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light
    2. *2: for LED Type Turn Signal Light
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A60*1 or A98*2 front turn signal light socket connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-1 (LL) - A60-1 (B)*1 or A98-4 (B)*2 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK (for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light)
      OK (for LED Type Turn Signal Light)
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 
    1. Remove the front turn signal light socket.

      for Triple Beam Headlight:

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 10/2022]

      for Single Beam Headlight:

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2021 - 10/2022]

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Front Turn Signal Socket)
    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the front turn signal light socket and check that the light illuminates.

      Standard Voltage

      Condition Specified Condition
      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B)
      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (E)      		 Turn signal light illuminates

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022]

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 

    for Triple Beam Headlight:

    Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 10/2022]

    for Single Beam Headlight:

    Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2021 - 10/2022]

  4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

    2. Inspect the headlight assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [08/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - ] 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET) 
    1. *1: for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light
    2. *2: for LED Type Turn Signal Light
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A59*1 or A96*2 front turn signal light socket connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-2 (LR) - A59-1 (B)*1 or A96-4 (B)*2 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK (for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light)
      OK (for LED Type Turn Signal Light)
      NG

    Result:

  6. INSPECT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 
    1. Remove the front turn signal light socket.

      for Triple Beam Headlight:

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 10/2022]

      for Single Beam Headlight:

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Front Turn Signal Socket)

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2021 - 10/2022]

    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the front turn signal light socket and check that the light illuminates.

      Standard Voltage

      Condition Specified Condition
      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B)
      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (E)      		 Turn signal light illuminates

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022]

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET

  7. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the headlight assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

    2. Inspect the headlight assembly RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [08/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - ] 

  8. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    NG

  9. INSPECT SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the side turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

  10. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  11. INSPECT SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the side turn signal light assembly RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the N18 rear combination light socket and wire LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N18-4 (TRN) - G19-5 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      N18-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the M14 rear combination light socket and wire RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M14-4 (TRN) - G19-6 (TRNR) Always Below 1 Ω
      M14-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  14. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH 
    1. Disconnect the N18 rear combination light socket and wire LH connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Rear Combination Light Socket and Wire LH)
    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear combination light socket and wire LH and check that the light illuminates.

      OK

      Condition Specified Condition
      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (TRN)
      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E)      		 Turn signal light illuminates

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - ] 

  15. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE RH 
    1. Disconnect the M14 rear combination light socket and wire RH connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Rear Combination Light Socket and Wire RH)
    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear combination light socket and wire RH and check that the light illuminates.

      Standard Voltage

      Condition Specified Condition
      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (TRN)
      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E)      		 Turn signal light illuminates

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG
