Removal [09/2016 - 05/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
    • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2016 - 01/2018] , or refer to PRECAUTION [01/2018 - 05/2019]

    • When replacing the auxiliary battery with a new one, use an auxiliary battery with the same physical dimensions (LN 1), a cold cranking ampere (CCA) 295 A or more, and a 20-hour rate capacity of 45 Ah or more.
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and open the battery terminal cap in the order shown in the illustration.

      Open - -
    2. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. Remove the No. 2 battery clamp as shown in the illustration.

    5. Remove the auxiliary battery.
    6. w/ Battery Insulator:
      1. Remove the battery insulator from the auxiliary battery.
