Removal [09/2016 - 05/2019]: Procedure

1. Change the grille shutter control mode to maintenance mode.

   Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2016 - ]

   NOTE:

   Make sure to change the grille shutter control mode to maintenance mode to prevent the grill shutter from opening or closing when the power switch is off.

HINT: 

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly is necessary.

Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

1. Remove the 7 clips.

2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the radiator support opening cover as shown in the illustration.

   	Remove in this Direction (1)
   	Remove in this Direction (2)

1. Apply protective tape around the front bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.

   HINT: 

   Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

2. Using a screwdriver, turn each pin 90 degrees and remove the 2 pin hold clips.

   	Remove in this Direction (1)
   	Remove in this Direction (2)

   HINT: 

   Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

3. Remove the screw.

4. Remove the 10 screws.

5. Disengage the 3 claws as shown in the illustration.

   	Place Hand Here
   	Remove in this Direction

   HINT: 

   Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

6. Pull back the side of the front bumper assembly and disconnect the connector.
   NOTE:

   Do not apply excessive force when pulling back the front bumper assembly.

   Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
