Removal [09/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [07/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [07/2020 - ]

  3. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [07/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [07/2020 - ]

  5. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [07/2020 - ]

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR VENT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [07/2020 - ]

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [07/2020 - ]

  9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a drill bit with a diameter of less than 5 mm (0.197 in.), drill out the 3 rivet heads.

      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the speaker cone.
      • Do not drill the rivet at an angle as this will cause damage to the drill and rivet installation hole. Line up the drill with the rivet, and carefully drill out the rivet head.
      • Be careful as the drilled rivet will be very hot.
    3. Continue drilling and push out the remaining rivet fragments.
    4. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the inside of the door.
    5. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front No. 1 speaker assembly.
