Tilt and Telescopic Manual Switch Circuit [04/2018 - ]: Procedure

1. Turn the engine switch off.
2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
4. Turn the Techstream on.
5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

   Body Electrical > Tilt&Telescopic > Data List 

   Tester Display
   Tilt Manual Switch Up
   Tilt Manual Switch Down
   Telescopic Manual Switch Short
   Telescopic Manual Switch Long

REPLACE MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [04/2018 - ]

1. Disconnect the G49 multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU connector.
2. Disconnect the G30 tilt and telescopic switch connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G49-5 (VC) - G30-1 (VC)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G49-18 (MSW) - G30-3 (MSW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G49-5 (VC) or G30-1 (VC) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G49-18 (MSW) or G30-3 (MSW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Reconnect the G49 multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G49-5 (VC) - G49-18 (MSW)	Engine switch on (IG)	4.9 to 5.1 V

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
