Removal [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

    WARNING:

    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [12/2023 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

  3. REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Detach the clamp.
      2. Disconnect the 2 airbag connectors.

        HINT: 

        Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector:

        Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [11/2020 - ]

      3. Remove the 2 bolts.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Remove the 4 screws.
      2. Detach the clip and remove the No. 2 instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER WITHOUT DOOR AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    • When storing the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

      1. Remove the 2 screws.
      2. Lean the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly and detach the hook.
      3. Detach the hook to remove the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly from the No. 2 instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
