Removal [11/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

NOTE:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 - REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
*a Turns off - - - Check that the ignition switch is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
- Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Remove in this Direction - - - Remove the 2 bolts.
- Detach the clip and remove the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
