DTC B00B5-13: Driver Seat Track Position Restraints Sensor Circuit Open [12/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch off.
    • Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly and front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor).

      OK

      The connectors are properly connected.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Post-procedure1

    • None

    Result: 

    NG 

    CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK CONNECTORS 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

      *1 Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH (Seat Position Airbag Sensor)
      *2 Airbag ECU Assembly
      *3 Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly LH
      *4 Wire Harness
    • Disconnect the front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) connector.
    • Check that the connectors (on the airbag ECU assembly side and front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) side) are not damaged.

      OK

      The terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Post-procedure1

    • None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHECK FOR OPEN IN THE CIRCUIT) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Using a service wire, connect terminals 27 (LSP+) and 24 (GNDL) of connector B.
      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.

    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    • Disconnect the service wire from connector B.

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Using a service wire, connect terminals 2 and 1 of connector E.

      *2 Airbag ECU Assembly
      *3 Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly LH
      *4 Wire Harness
      *5 Service Wire

      (to Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH (Seat Position Sensor))
    2. Reconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    5. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to

  5. CHECK DTC 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch off.
    • Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      B00B5-13 is output A
      B00B5-11 is output B
      B00B5-12 is output C

    Post-procedure1

    • Disconnect the service wire from connector E.

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2022 - 12/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    B 

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2020 - 12/2023]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [12/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    C 

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2020 - 12/2023]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [12/2023 - ] 

  6. CHECK CONNECTORS 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch off.

      *1 Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH (Seat Position Sensor)
      *2 Airbag ECU Assembly
      *3 Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly LH
      *4 Wire Harness
    • Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
    • Disconnect the front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) connector.
    • Check that the connectors (on the front seat inner belt assembly LH side and front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) side) are not damaged.

      OK

      The terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Post-procedure1

    • None

    Result:
