DTC B00B5-00: Driver Seat Track Position Restraints Sensor Circuit Undetermined Failure [12/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Turn the ignition switch off.
    • Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly and front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor).

      OK

      Connectors are properly connected.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    • None

    Result: 

    NG 

    CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY

  2. CHECK CONNECTORS 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

      *1 Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH (Seat Position Airbag Sensor)
      *2 Airbag ECU Assembly
      *3 Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly LH
      *4 Wire Harness
    • Disconnect the front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) connector.
    • Check that the connectors (on the airbag ECU assembly side and front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) side) are not damaged.

      OK

      The terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Post-procedure1

    • None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Inspect the seat position sensor.
      1. Remove and reinsert the metal plate into the slit of the seat position sensor LH and measure the current value.

    • Using a service wire, connect terminals 27 (LSP+) and 24 (GNDL) of connector B.
      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.

  8. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

    2. Reconnect the front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) connector.
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    5. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to

  9. CHECK DTC

    • Turn the ignition switch off.
    • Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Check for DTCs.

  10. CHECK CONNECTORS

    • Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
    • Disconnect the front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) connector.
    • Check that the connectors (on the front seat inner belt assembly LH side and wire harness side) are not damaged.

      OK

      The terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.
