- DRAIN COOLANT (for Inverter)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE EV RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY
- Slide the 2 hose clips and disconnect the No. 7 FC inverter cooling hose and No. 6 FC inverter cooling hose from the EV reserve tank assembly.NOTE:
- During removal, make sure not to damage the port of the EV reserve tank assembly or the inner surface of the hose.
- Perform the work by hand. Do not use tools.
- Put pieces of cloth into the pipes and disconnected hoses or cover the pipes and hoses with plastic bags to prevent foreign matter from entering the inverter water pump assembly and cooling system.
- Do not apply excessive force to the No. 7 FC inverter cooling hose and No. 6 FC inverter cooling hose.
- After disconnecting the No. 6 FC inverter cooling hose and No. 7 FC inverter cooling hose, plug the coolant pipe and hose with hose plugs or wrap them with a plastic bag to prevent coolant from spilling onto surrounding parts or foreign matter from entering the coolant path.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disconnect the grommet and remove the EV reserve tank assembly.
- Slide the 2 hose clips and disconnect the No. 7 FC inverter cooling hose and No. 6 FC inverter cooling hose from the EV reserve tank assembly.
- REMOVE WATER WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the connector.NOTE:
To prevent the coolant from entering the water with motor pump assembly connector, perform the following procedure.
- Wipe off any coolant around the water with motor pump assembly connector before disconnecting it.
- Apply insulating tape to the connectors of the wire harness and water with motor pump assembly to prevent the entry of coolant.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Slide the 2 hose clips and disconnect the No. 6 FC inverter cooling hose and No. 15 FC inverter cooling hose from the water with motor pump assembly.NOTE:
- During removal, make sure not to damage the port of the water with motor pump assembly or the inner surface of the hose.
