Installation [11/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 2 EV BATTERY INTAKE FILTER 

    Refer to INSPECTION [11/2020 - ]

  2. INSTALL NO. 9 EV BATTERY SHIELD PANEL

    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL EV BATTERY DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Place wooden blocks as shown in the illustration and install the EV supply battery assembly by sliding it on the wooden blocks.
        NOTE:
        • To prevent the wire harness from being caught, make sure to bundle the wire harness using insulating tape or equivalent.
        • Use cardboard or another similar material to protect the EV supply battery assembly and vehicle body from damage.
        • Since the EV supply battery assembly is very heavy, 2 people are needed to remove it. When removing the HV battery, be careful not to damage the parts around it.
        • When removing/installing/moving the EV supply battery assembly, make sure not to tilt it more than 80°.
        • If the EV supply battery assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
    2. Temporarily install the EV supply battery assembly to the vehicle body with the 3 bolts.
      NOTE:

      Do not allow foreign matter, such as grease or oil, to adhere to the bolts of the EV supply battery assembly.

    Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

    Vehicle body side 

    Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

  6. INSTALL EV BATTERY BRACKET RH

    Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

    Vehicle body side 

    Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

  7. TIGHTEN EV SUPPLY BATTERY ASSEMBLY

      1. Tighten the 3 bolts.

  9. INSTALL ADVANCED DRIVE DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH ADVANCED DRIVE DUCT BRACKET (w/ Advanced Drive)

      1. Install the advanced drive duct sub-assembly with advanced drive duct bracket to EV supply battery assembly with the 2 nuts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

      2. Extend the duct and attach the claw as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Visually check that the claw is securely attached.

  10. INSTALL NO. 4 ADVANCED DRIVE DUCT (w/ Advanced Drive)

      1. Connect the No. 4 advanced drive duct as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Check that duct valve is not detached.

  11. INSTALL ECU COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY WITH BRCAKET (w/ Advanced Drive) 
  12. INSTALL ADVANCED DRIVE EXTENSION ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Advanced Drive) 
  13. INSTALL ADVANCED DRIVE ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Advanced Drive) 
  14. INSTALL VOLTAGE INVERTER BRACKET (for 1500W Type) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2020 - ]

  15. INSTALL FLOOR WIRE 
  16. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE

      1. Connect the connector and slide the green-colored lock as shown in the illustration to lock it securely.
      2. Engage the clamp and install the socket inverter wire to the EV supply battery assembly.
      3. Engage the claw and connect the fuse box.
      4. Connect the each connectors.
      5. Install the nut.

        Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf)

    1. If the front holder and gasket are removed, install them using the following procedure.

      1. Install the gasket to the housing.

        HINT: 

        Install by aligning the protrusion of the gasket with the housing groove.

      2. Install the front holder to the housing.
        NOTE:

        Push in the front holder until a "click" sound is heard. After pushing it in, check that it is not removed.

      1. Connect the FC converter power outlet cable (inverter with converter assembly) to the FC converter.
      2. Tighten the 2 bolts (A) and bolt (B) in the order shown in the illustration.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Installing the bolts in an incorrect order may damage the FC converter and FC converter power outlet cable (inverter with converter assembly).

      3. Engage the clamp
      4. Install the bolt.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

    • Perform "Battery Status Info Update" after replacing the malfunctioning EV supply battery assembly.

      Refer to UTILITY [11/2020 - ]

    • Perform "Prediagnostic Battery Charge" after replacing the malfunctioning EV supply battery assembly.

      Refer to UTILITY [11/2020 - ]

    • Perform "Battery Diagnosis" after replacing the malfunctioning EV supply battery assembly.

      Refer to UTILITY [11/2020 - ]
