Removal [11/2021 - 12/2022]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  3. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  4. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 12/2022]

  6. REMOVE FC STACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. DISCONNECT FC CONVERTER POWER OUTLET CABLE (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY)

  8. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY

  9. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE

  11. REMOVE FRONT COMPARTMENT UNDER COVER

  12. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 15 FC INVERTER COOLING HOSE

  14. DISCONNECT NO. 1 DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *a Bolt (A) *b Bolt (B)
      1. Remove the bolt (A).
      2. Remove the bolt (B) and disconnect the No. 1 discharge hose sub-assembly.
      3. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 discharge hose sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  15. REMOVE SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY A

      1. Remove the bolt (B) and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly A.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly A.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  16. REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      1. Detach the clamp.

      1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
      2. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts.

      *a Connector (A) *b Connector (B)
      *c Green-colored Lock - -
      Slide - -
      1. While holding the compressor with motor assembly, slide the green-colored lock of the connector (A) as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.
        WARNING:

        Make sure to wear insulating gloves.

        NOTE:

        Insulate the disconnected terminals and connector with vinyl tape.

      2. While holding the compressor with motor assembly, disconnect the connector (B) and remove the compressor with motor assembly.
