Luggage Compartment Door Opener does not Operate Using Any Operation [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. Check power door lock control system operation.

      w/ Front LiDAR Sensor:

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2023 - ]

      w/o Front LiDAR Sensor:

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2023 - ]

      OK

      Power door lock control system is normal.

      Result

    GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU] AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the D87 luggage door opening cancel switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the D11 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D87-2 (B) - D11-27 (TMSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      D87-1 (L) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      D87-2 (B) or D11-27 (TMSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the K1 luggage compartment door lock assembly connector.
    2. Remove the trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) from the Luggage room relay block assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K1-1 (B) - Trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) terminal 3 Always Below 1 Ω
      K1-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      K1-1 (B) or Trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) terminal 3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRUNK OPEN RELAY [TRUNK OPN] - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Remove the trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) from the Luggage room relay block assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) terminal 4 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      Trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) terminal 1 - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V
      Trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) terminal 5 - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRUNK OPEN RELAY [TRUNK OPN] - DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Remove the trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) from the Luggage room relay block assembly.
    2. Disconnect the 4F driver side junction block assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) terminal 2 - 4F-32 Always Below 1 Ω
      Trunk open relay (TRUNK OPN) terminal 2 or 4F-32 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  13. INSPECT DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the driver side junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the driver side junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4F-32- A-6 (TR+) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

    REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2023 - ] 

  14. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS

    2. Disconnect the D196 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      D87-2 (B) - D196-9 (TMSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      D87-1 (L) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    2. Disconnect the 8G power distribution box assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      K1-1 (B) - 8G-42 Always Below 1 Ω
      K1-3 (D+) - 8G-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      K1-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      K1-1 (B) or 8G-42 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K1-3 (D+) or 8G-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
