   Double-sided Tape

   -

   -

   1. Clean the surface of the rear door.

      1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the rear door.

      2. Wipe off any adhesive residue with cleaner.

      3. Using a heat light, heat a new rear door No. 5 weatherstrip and the rear door surface.

      WARNING:

      • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
      • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
      • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

      Standard Value

      Part	Temperature
      Rear door No. 5 weatherstrip.	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the rear door No. 5 weatherstrip.
   3. Attach the clips and install the rear door No. 5 weatherstrip.

   Bolt

   Nut

   1. When reusing a bolt:

      1. Clean the threads of the bolt.

      2. Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.

      Adhesive

      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.

   2. Install the rear door check assembly with a bolt and 2 nuts.

      Bolt 

      Torque: 27 N.m (275 kgf/cm, 20 ft.lbf) 

      Nut 

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

1. When re-using the rear door lock assembly:

   Bolt

   Connector

   1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.
   2. Install the rear door window regulator sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

   3. Connect the connector.

   1. Connect the connector to the rear power window regulator switch.
   2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
   3. Turn the ignition switch on.
   4. Move the rear door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass installation position can be seen.
   5. Turn the ignition switch off.

   1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If an SRS part is accidentally deployed, it may cause a serious injury.

   2. Disconnect the connector from the rear pawer window regulator switch.

   Install in this Direction

   -

   -

   1. Insert the rear door glass sub-assembly into the rear door panel as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly LH.

   2. Install the rear door glass sub-assembly to the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.

Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf/cm, 75 in.lbf)

HINT: 

When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
