Removal [11/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT UPPER COVER LH

      Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2)
      1. Heat the No. 1 luggage compartment upper cover LH using a heat light.
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
        • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
        • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

        Standard Value

        Part Temperature
        No. 1 luggage compartment upper cover LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
      2. Using a clip remover, disengage the clip.
      3. Remove the double-sided tape and No. 1 luggage compartment upper cover LH as shown in the illustration.
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT UPPER COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH

      1. Heat the No. 1 luggage compartment door hinge cover LHusing a heat light.
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
        • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
        • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

        Part Temperature
        No. 1 luggage compartment door hinge cover LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
      2. Remove the clip.
      3. Remove the double-sided tape and No. 1 luggage compartment door hinge cover LH as shown in the illustration.
  4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

  7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

    NOTE:

    When removing, make sure that non-drying sealer does not adhere to the body and luggage compartment door.
