Adjustment [11/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas "A" through "D" are within each standard range.

      Standard Clearance

      Area Measurement Area Measurement
      A 4.6 to 8.6 mm (0.181 to 0.339 in.) B 2.0 to 6.0 mm (0.079 to 0.236 in.)
      C 3.7 to 6.7 mm (0.146 to 0.264 in.) D 2.5 to 5.5 mm (0.098 to 0.217 in.)
  2. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Horizontally and vertically adjust the hood.

      1. Loosen the 4 hinge bolts of the hood.
      2. Adjust the clearance between the hood and front fender by moving the hood.
      3. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts after adjustment.

        Torque: 13 N.m (133 kgf/cm, 10 ft.lbf) 

    2. Adjust the height of the front end of the hood using the hood bumper cushions.

      1. Adjust the 2 hood bumper cushions so that the heights of the hood and fenders are aligned.
    3. Adjust the hood lock assembly.

      1. Remove the upper radiator support seal.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2021 - 12/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2022 - 12/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2023 - ]

      2. Remove the radiator cover plate.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2021 - 12/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [12/2022 - 12/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [12/2023 - ]

      3. Remove the lower radiator air deflector.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2021 - 12/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [12/2022 - 12/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [12/2023 - ]

      4. Loosen the 3 bolts.
      5. Adjust the hood lock assembly and tighten the 3 bolts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

      6. Install the lower radiator air deflector.
      7. Install the radiator cover plate.
      8. Install the upper radiator support seal.
