   1. Disengage the claw to disconnect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
   2. Push the lever, disengage the guide to remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

   1. Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly.

      HINT: 

      Using a length of string long enough to pass through the motor compartment.

   2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the clamps, wiring harness protector and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.
   3. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the motor compartment to remove it.
   4. Remove the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
