Removal [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2021 - 12/2022]

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2021 - 12/2022]

  3. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2021 - 12/2022]

  4. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove in this Direction - -
  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

      Bolt Connector
  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

      Remove in this Direction Screw
      Clip - -
  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      1. Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly.

        HINT: 

        Using a length of string long enough to pass through the motor compartment.

      2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the clamps, wiring harness protector and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.
      3. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the motor compartment to remove it.
      4. Remove the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
