Adjustment [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [11/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [11/2021 - 12/2022]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 12/2022]

  3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas A to L are within the standard ranges.

      Standard Clearance

      A 2.8 to 6.8 mm (0.110 to 0.268 in.) B -1.5 to 1.5 mm (-0.059 to 0.059 in.)
      B 2.9 to 6.3 mm (0.114 to 0.248 in.) D 1.2 to 5.2 mm (0.047 to 0.205 in.)
      E 2.9 to 6.3 mm (0.114 to 0.248 in.) F 0.8 to 4.8 mm (0.031 to 0.189 in.)
      G 2.3 to 6.3 mm (0.091 to 0.248 in.) H -0.2 to 0.2 mm (-0.0079 to 0.0079 in.)
      I 3.1 to 5.5 mm (0.122 to 0.217 in.) J -1.2 to 1.2 mm (-0.047 to 0.047 in.)
      K 4.0 to 8.0 mm (0.157 to 0.315 in.) L -0.1 to 3.9 mm (-0.0039 to 0.154 in.)
  4. ADJUST FRONT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using SST, loosen the hinge bolts on the body and adjust the door position.
      • SST: 09812-00010

    2. Tighten the hinge bolts on the body after the adjustment.

      Torque: 26 N.m (265 kgf/cm, 19 ft.lbf) 

    3. Loosen the hinge bolts on the door and adjust the door position.

    4. Tighten the hinge bolts on the door after the adjustment.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    5. Detach the claw and remove the door lock striker cover.

    6. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws and hitting the striker with a plastic-faced hammer.

    7. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the striker mounting screws after the adjustment.

      Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf/cm, 17 ft.lbf) 

    8. Attach the claw to install the door lock striker cover.
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2020 - 12/2022]

  6. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [11/2020 - 12/2022]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  7. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 
  8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
