Inspection [11/2020 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (TRIP SWITCH)
- Check the resistance.
*1 Up Switch *2 Down Switch *a Component without harness connected
(Light Control Rheostat (Trip Switch))- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition Result D7-5 (RV) - D7-1 (E) Up switch pressed Below 1 Ω Ω D7-5 (RV) - D7-1 (E) Up switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher kΩ D7-5 (RV) - D7-1 (E) Down switch pressed 1.71 to 1.89 kΩ kΩ D7-5 (RV) - D7-1 (E) Down switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher kΩ If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat (trip switch).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Check illumination.

(Headup Display Switch (Trip Switch))- Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination condition.
OK
Tester Connection Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) - D7-10 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) - D7-6 (ILL-)Illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat (trip switch).
- Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination condition.
- Check the resistance.
