Back-up Light Circuit [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Changes the shift lever R position.
    3. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

      Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 3 > Data List

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS

  4. CHECK REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the K10 rear light assembly RH connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Changes the shift lever R position.
    4. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

  5. CHECK REAR LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE RH 
    1. Disconnect the rear light socket and wire RH connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Changes the shift lever R position.
    4. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

    REPLACE REAR LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2020 - ]

    REPLACE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2020 - ] 

  6. CHECK SHIFT CONTROL ECU 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the G102 No. 2 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G102-11 (+S) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R 7.25 to 14.65 V
      G102-11 (+S) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever not in R Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE NO. 2 SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 12/2022]

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU - SHIFT CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the G102 No. 2 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.
    3. Disconnect the D92 shift control ECU connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G102-11 (+S) - D92-15 (BL) Always Below 1 Ω
      G102-11 (+S) or D92-15 (BL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 2 SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 12/2022]

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  8. CHECK REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the K6 rear light assembly LH connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Changes the shift lever R position.
    4. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

      Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 3 > Data List

  10. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU 
    1. Disconnect the G13 parking assist ECU connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Changes the shift lever R position.
    4. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

      Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 3 > Data List

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - NO. 2 SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the K10 rear light assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the K6 rear light assembly LH connector.
    4. Disconnect the G13 parking assist ECU connector.
    5. Disconnect the G102 No. 2 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.
    6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K10-2 (B) - G102-4 (L) Always Below 1 Ω
      K10-2 (B) or G102-4 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 2 SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 12/2022]
