  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check the vehicle type.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

  3. CHECK FOR CAN BUS WIRE (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY MAIN WIRE) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    • Disconnect the D43 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      D43-32 (TX+) - D43-15 (TX-) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Ω
      D43-32 (TX+) - D20-4 (CG) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 200 Ω or higher Ω
      D43-15 (TX-) - D20-4 (CG) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 200 Ω or higher Ω
      D43-32 (TX+) - D20-16 (BAT) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 6 kΩ or higher kΩ
      D43-15 (TX-) - D20-16 (BAT) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 6 kΩ or higher kΩ

  4. CHECK FOR CAN BUS WIRE (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY MAIN WIRE) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    • Disconnect the D179 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      D179-11 (CNH1) - D179-12 (CNL1) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Ω

  5. CHECK FOR CAN BUS WIRE (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MOBILE WIRELESS CHARGER CRADLE ASSEMBLY) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    • Disconnect the D224 mobile wireless charger cradle assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      D224-5 (CANH) - D224-6 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Ω
