Shift Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (SHIFT CONTROL ECU BRANCH WIRE)
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the D92 shift control ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D92-9 (CA1H) - D92-8 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK

    See step  2

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
    1. Disconnect the D93 shift control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
D92-1 (E1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
D93-17 (E12) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
D93-6 (E01) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
D93-5 (E02) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
D93-4 (E03) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
D92-11 (EC) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D93-1 (BATT) - Body ground Ignition switch off 8 to 15.4 V
D92-10 (BUB) - Body ground 5 seconds after ignition switch ON* 8 to 15.4 V
D92-18 (ACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 6 V or higher
      D92-27 (IG2) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 6 V or higher

*: Power is supplied from the sub-battery assembly with control for only 5 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON. Therefore, measure the voltage during that time.
