DTC B0050-12: Driver Seat Belt Sensor Circuit Short to Battery [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure

CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS

Pre-procedure1

Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly and front seat inner belt assembly LH.

The connectors are properly connected.

Result

CHECK CONNECTORS

Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

*2	Airbag ECU Assembly
*3	Wire Harness

Disconnect the front seat inner belt assembly LH connector.

Check that the connectors (on the airbag ECU assembly side and front seat inner belt assembly LH side) are not damaged.

The terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHECK FOR SHORT TO B+ IN THE CIRCUIT)

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

CLEAR DTC

Connect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

Connect the front seat inner belt assembly LH connector.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs
