  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check vehicle condition.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs and the output pattern according to the following table.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

    2. Check for DTCs and the output pattern according to the following table.

      Body Electrical > Head Up Display > Trouble Codes

  3. CHECK GVIF WIRE 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the D157 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Disconnect the D156 meter mirror sub-assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      D157-2 (MGV-) - D156-1 (HGV-) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      D157-1 (MGV+) - D156-2 (HGV+) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      D157-3 (MGVG) - D156-3 (HGVG) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      D157-2 (MGV-) or D156-1 (MGV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher kΩ
      D157-1 (MGV+) or D156-2 (MGV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher kΩ
      D157-3 (MGVG) or D156-3 (MGVG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher kΩ

    1. Replace the meter mirror sub-assembly with a new one.

  5. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      No DTCs are output.

    1. Turn the settings of the headup display to ON and confirm the startup operation.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the D219 meter mirror sub-assembly connector.
    • Disconnect the D220 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      D219-1 (HGV-) - D220-2 (MGV-) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      D219-2 (HGV+) - D220-1 (MGV+) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      D219-3 (HGVG) - D220-3 (MGVG) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      D219-1 (HGV-) or D220-2 (MGV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher kΩ
      D219-2 (HGV+) or D220-1 (MGV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher kΩ

    • Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      D204-5 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V V
      D204-10 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V V
