Removal [11/2020 - 12/2023]: Procedure
- REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM
- Put protective tape around the symbol emblem.
- Heat the adhesive of the symbol emblem using a heat light.
Standard Value
Part Temperature Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) WARNING:- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
- Touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
*a Heated Part *b Heat Light NOTE:Do not heat the symbol emblem excessively.
- Remove the symbol emblem by the below procedure.
1. Insert piano wire between the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly and symbol emblem.
HINT:
Be careful of the boss positions.
2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.
3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the symbol emblem to the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly.
NOTE:Be careful not to damage the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly.
- REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE
- Put protective tape around the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.
- Heat the adhesive of the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate using a heat light.

Part Temperature No. 2 Luggage Compartment Door Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) WARNING:- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.

- Remove the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate by the below procedure.
1. Insert piano wire between the luggage compartment door panel and No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.
2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.
3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate to the luggage compartment door panel.
NOTE:Be careful not to damage the luggage compartment door panel.
- REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PLATE
- Put protective tape around the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate.
- Heat the adhesive of the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate using a heat light.

- REMOVE NO. 4 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PLATE
- Put protective tape around the No. 4 luggage compartment door plate.
- Heat the adhesive of the No. 4 luggage compartment door plate using a heat light.

- REMOVE NO. 5 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE
- Put protective tape around the No. 5 luggage compartment door name plate.
- Heat the adhesive of the No. 5 luggage compartment door name plate using a heat light.

- REMOVE ROCKER PANEL MOULDING EMBLEM
- Put protective tape around the rocker panel moulding emblem.
- Heat the adhesive of the rocker panel moulding emblem using a heat light.

Part Temperature Rocker Panel Moulding Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) WARNING:- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
- Touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
*a Heated Part *b Heat Light NOTE:Do not heat the rocker panel moulding emblem excessively.
- Remove the 2 rocker panel moulding emblems by the below procedure.
1. Insert piano wire between the rocker panel moulding and rocker panel moulding emblem.
2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.
3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the rocker panel moulding emblem to the rocker panel moulding.
NOTE:Be careful not to damage the rocker panel moulding.
4. Use the same procedure for the other side.
