The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front bumper assembly removal/installation are shown below.
| Replaced Part or Performed Procedures | Necessary Procedures | Effect/Inoperative Function when Necessary Procedures are not Performed | Link |
|---|---|---|---|
| Front bumper assembly (Including removal and installation) | w/ Advanced Drive:
|
Advanced drive system | Refer to ADJUSTMENT [11/2021 - ] |
| Front television camera view adjustment | Panoramic view monitor system | Refer to CALIBRATION [12/2022 - ] | |
| Front television camera assembly, front bumper assembly or radiator grille (Including removal and installation) | Front television camera view adjustment | Panoramic view monitor system | Refer to CALIBRATION [12/2022 - ] |
|
Television camera view adjustment HINT: Replacement or removal and installation of 2 or more parts |
||
| Front LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly (Including removal and installation) | Front LiDAR beam axis adjustment* | Advanced drive system | Refer to ADJUSTMENT [11/2021 - ] |
*: If the advanced drive ECU assembly is replaced along, make sure to first perform "Vehicle Information Registration" for the advanced drive ECU assembly. Once work with the advanced drive ECU assembly is complete, then perform registration or beam axis adjustment for each part.
HINT:
- When the cable is disconnected/reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.
- Learning completes when vehicle is driven
Effect/Inoperative Function When Necessary Procedures are not Performed Necessary Procedures Link Lane tracing assist system (for Stereo camera type) Drive the vehicle straight ahead at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more for 5 seconds or more. for Stereo Camera Type:
Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - ]
for Mono Camera Type:
Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2020 - 12/2023]Lane tracing assist system (for Mono camera type) Pre-collision system (for Stereo camera type) Pre-collision system (for Mono camera type) Lighting system (EXT) Advanced drive system Drive the vehicle straight ahead at a vehicle speed of 35 km/h or higher for 30 seconds* or more. Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - ] *: This can be completed by doing this for 30 seconds continuously or for a total of 30 seconds intermittently.
- Learning completes when vehicle is driven
- When the front bumper is damaged or deformed due to an accident or contact with other objects, etc., or the bumper installation area on the body is repaired, it is necessary to perform millimeter wave radar sensor adjustment.
- for Stereo Camera Type:
Refer to ADJUSTMENT [11/2021 - 12/2023]
- for Mono Camera Type:
- DRIVING ADJUSTMENT:
- TARGET ADJUSTMENT (TRIANGLE TARGET):
Refer to TARGET ADJUSTMENT (TRIANGLE TARGET) [11/2020 - 12/2023]
- TARGET ADJUSTMENT (FLAT SURFACE TARGET):
Refer to TARGET ADJUSTMENT (FLAT SURFACE TARGET) [11/2020 - 12/2023]
- for Stereo Camera Type:
- When the front bumper is damaged or deformed due to an accident or contact with other objects, etc., or the bumper installation area on the body is repaired, it is necessary to perform millimeter wave radar sensor adjustment.
- If the bumper is damaged, there is a possibility that the installation area of the front side radar sensor may be deformed and the front side radar sensor system may not operate correctly, so visually inspect the front side radar sensor installation area (headlight, frame, bracket, stud bolt) to make sure it is not dented or bent.
Refer to ADJUSTMENT [11/2021 - 12/2023]
- If the visual inspection finds a problem, check the installation condition of the front side radar sensor, and adjust the installation position of the front side radar sensor as necessary.
- When the front bumper is damaged or deformed due to an accident or contact with other objects, etc., or the bumper installation area on the body is repaired, it is necessary to perform ultrasonic sensor detection angle measurement.
