Inspection [11/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT POWER SEAT TILT MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Check that the power seat tilt motor assembly LH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

      OK

      W/ MEMORY

      Tester Connection Operational Direction
      L27-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L27-4 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      L27-4 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L27-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates clockwise
      W/O MEMORY

      Tester Connection Operational Direction
      L30-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L30-2 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      L30-2 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L30-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates clockwise

      *A w/ Memory
      *B w/o Memory
      *a Component without harness connected
      (Power Seat Tilt Motor Assembly LH)
      *b Clockwise
      *c Counterclockwise
      *d Motor Gear

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat tilt motor assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Check that the power seat lifter motor assembly LH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

      OK

      W/ MEMORY

      Tester Connection Operational Direction
      L28-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L28-4 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      L28-4 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L28-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates clockwise
      W/O MEMORY

      Tester Connection Operational Direction
      L31-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L31-2 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      L31-2 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L31-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates clockwise

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat lifter motor assembly LH.

  3. INSPECT POWER SEAT TILT MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Check that the power seat tilt motor assembly RH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

      OK

      Tester Connection Operational Direction
      L5-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L5-2 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates clockwise
      L5-2 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L5-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

  4. INSPECT POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Check that the power seat lifter motor assembly RH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

      OK

      L6-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L6-2 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates clockwise
      L6-2 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)
      L6-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
