Rear Sunshade Shift-linked Function does not Operate when Shift Lever is Moved to R Position [11/2020 - 12/2023]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS 
    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2020 - 12/2023] 

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Reverse Gear Signal Reverse signal ON / OFF -

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test

      Reverse Gear Signal

      HINT: 

      Perform the Active Test while the rear sunshade is fully raised or a raise operation is in progress.

      OK

      Rear sunshade can be lowered.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 12/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2022 - 12/2023] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    See step  2

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU]) 
    1. Disconnect the G16 rear window shade assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the D12 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G16-3 (REV) - D12-6 (REV) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the D12 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D12-6 (REV) - Body ground Start the hybrid control system, shift lever in not R 11 to 14 V
      Start the hybrid control system, shift lever in R Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 12/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2022 - 12/2023] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2020 - ]
