Installation [11/2020 - 12/2023]: Procedure

   Stop light switch mounting adjuster

   -

   -

   1. Insert the stop light switch assembly to the stop light switch mounting adjuster until the switch body slightly touches the brake pedal.
      NOTE:

      • When inserting the stop light switch assembly, make sure not to engage the brake pedal.
      • Operate it while supporting it with one hand so that the brake pedal does not move.
   2. Turn the stop light switch assembly clockwise by approximately one fourth of a rotation.
      NOTE:

      • When inserting the stop light switch assembly, make sure not to engage the brake pedal.
      • Operate it while supporting it with one hand so that the brake pedal does not move.
      • When turning the stop light switch assembly clockwise, do not exceed 1.5 N.m (15 kgf/cm, 1 ft.lbf) turning torque.
   3. Connect the connector.
   4. Install the spring.
   5. Check the protrusion amount of the shaft.

      Standard

      a	0.5 to 2.6 mm (0.0197 to 0.1024 in.)

      NOTE:

      Check that the stop light does not illuminate with the brake pedal not depressed.
