DTC B1500: Fuel Sender Open Detected [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Operate the Techstream according to the display and select the Data List (Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [08/2015 - ] ).

1. Disconnect the E99 combination meter assembly connectors.
2. Disconnect the N1 fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E99-33 (FR) - N1-3 (FR)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E99-35 (FV) - N1-1 (FV)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E99-17 (FE&B) - N1-2 (FE)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E99-33 (FR) or N1-3 (FR) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   E99-35 (FV) or N1-1 (FV) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] ).
2. Inspect the fuel sender gauge assembly (Refer to INSPECTION [08/2015 - ] ).

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY 

(Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

Result: 

OK

1. Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] ).
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
