Reassembly [11/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 3 ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING SEAL

      1. Clean the surface of the roof rack.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the roof rack.

        Standard

        Roof Rack 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) - -
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
        • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
        • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

        NOTE:

        Do not heat the roof rack excessively.

        2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the roof rack.

        3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

        NOTE:
        • Installing the No. 3 roof drip side finish moulding seal with some double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.
        • Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.
      2. Apply primer to the roof rack.

        1. Apply primer to the roof rack on the installation area of the No. 3 roof drip side finish moulding seal using a brush or felt.

        NOTE:
        • Replace the brush or felt if it is dirty or has become hardened.
        • Do not touch surfaces to which primer has been applied until the roof rack has been attached.

        2. Let the primer dry sufficiently.

        Recommended drying time

        10 minutes or more (at 23°C (73°F))

        NOTE:

        Do not touch applied surfaces until the primer is dry.

      3. Install a new No. 3 roof drip side finish moulding seal.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the roof rack.

        NOTE:

        Do not heat the roof rack excessively.

        2. Remove the release paper from the No. 3 roof drip side finish moulding seal.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        3. Install the No. 3 roof drip side finish moulding seal as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        • Install the No. 3 roof drip side finish moulding seal along the location line on the roof rack.
        • Press the No. 3 roof drip side finish moulding seal firmly to install it.
  2. INSTALL REAR ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING SEAL

      1. Clean the surface of the roof rack.

        3. Install the rear roof drip side finish moulding seal as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        • Install the rear roof drip side finish moulding seal along the location line on the roof rack.
        • Press the rear roof drip side finish moulding seal firmly to install it.
  3. INSTALL FRONT ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING SEAL

  4. INSTALL REAR ROOF RACK LEG 

    Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

  5. INSTALL FRONT ROOF RACK LEG 

    Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 ROOF SIDE GARNISH LID 
  7. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF SIDE GARNISH LID
