DTC P3147-79: Transmission (Shaft) Mechanical Linkage Failure [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ENGINE) 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      No DTCs are output, or DTCs except the ones in the table below are also output. A
      Any of the following DTCs are also output. B
      Relevant DTC
      P0335-11 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Short to Ground
      P0335-15 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Short to Battery or Open
      P0335-2A Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Signal Stuck in Range
      P0335-31 Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" No Signal
    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (SFI SYSTEM) 

    Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2023 - 11/2024] , or refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2024 - ]

    Result:

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (MOTOR GENERATOR) 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Motor Generator > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P3147-79 only is output, or DTCs except the ones in the table below are also output. A
      DTCs of motor generator control system in the table below are output. B

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

  3. CHECK CRANKSHAFT PULLEY REVOLUTION (P POSITION) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. CHECK CREEP MOVEMENT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  7. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the hybrid transaxle fluid level is not extremely low.

      Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [11/2023 - ]

    2. Drain the hybrid transaxle fluid.

      Refer to REPLACEMENT [12/2019 - ]

    3. Check that the hybrid transaxle fluid is not contaminated by foreign matter.

      OK

      - The hybrid transaxle fluid level is not extremely low.

      - No foreign matter in the hybrid transaxle fluid.

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result:

    REPLACE TRANSMISSION INPUT DAMPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    Result:

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

  8. CHECK CRANKSHAFT PULLEY REVOLUTION (N POSITION) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
