Removal [06/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2017 - 09/2019] , or refer to PRECAUTION [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PRECAUTION [03/2020 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2018 - 10/2020]

  3. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 03/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [03/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER 
    1. Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration to remove the flywheel housing side cover.

  5. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the starter assembly connector.

    2. Open the terminal cap.
    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the No. 2 engine wire from terminal 30.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
