Removal [06/2017 - 09/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2017 - 09/2019]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    For A25A-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2018 - 10/2020]

    For 2GR-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2017 - 10/2020]

  4. DISCONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    For TMC Made:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    For TMC Made:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

    For TMMK Made:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  8. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  9. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  12. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  13

  14. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - ]

  16. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HOLE COVER 

    See step  16

  17. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    See step  17

  18. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for TMC Made) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the rear center seat outer belt assembly.
  19. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the rear center seat outer belt assembly.

      HINT: 

      As the rear center seat outer belt assembly cannot be separated from the rear seat inner belt assembly RH, when replacing the rear center seat outer belt assembly with a new one, the rear seat inner belt assembly RH will also be replaced.

  20. REMOVE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER 
    1. Remove the seat belt retractor cover as shown in the illustration.
