Removal [06/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2017 - 09/2019] , or refer to PRECAUTION [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PRECAUTION [03/2020 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    For A25A-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2018 - 10/2020]

    For 2GR-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [03/2020 - 10/2020]

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip.
  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [08/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [03/2020 - 10/2020]

  6. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.
  7. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws to remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

  8. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  9. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [03/2020 - 10/2020]

  10. REMOVE UPPER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [08/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [03/2020 - 10/2020]

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Locking Button
      *c Release

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front seat outer belt assembly.
  12. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
