DTC P2756-7F: Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Actuator Stuck Off [06/2017 - 08/2018]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2756-7F) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > Transmission > Trouble Codes 

    5. Read the DTCs using the Techstream.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Only DTC P2756-7F is output A
      DTC P2756-7F and other DTCs are output B

      HINT: 

      • If any DTCs other than P2756-7F are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first.
      • If a solenoid valve is stuck ON or OFF, DTCs for several solenoid valves including the malfunctioning solenoid valve will be stored.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [06/2017 - 08/2018]

  2. INSPECT SOLENOID (SLU) VALVE 
    1. Remove the solenoid (SLU) valve.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Solenoid (SLU) Valve)

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2017 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Solenoid (SLU) valve connector terminal 1 - Terminal 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
    3. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery with a 21 W bulb to terminal 1 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2 of the solenoid valve connector. Check that the valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      OK

      Valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SOLENOID (SLU) VALVE. Refer to  COMPONENTS [06/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the transmission valve body assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2017 - 08/2018]

      OK

      There is no foreign matter on each valve and they operate smoothly.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [06/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT TORQUE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the torque converter assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2017 - ]

      OK

      The torque converter assembly is normal.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE TORQUE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [06/2017 - 08/2018] 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. REPAIR OR REPLACE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Repair or replace the automatic transaxle assembly.

      Refer to COMPONENTS [06/2017 - 08/2018]

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    PERFORM REGISTRATION. Refer to  REGISTRATION [06/2017 - ]
